Frequently Asked Questions

  • You’re probably going to have a great time! Kinksters tend to be open-minded, creative folks who like to help new people feel welcome. A few tips to get started…

    1. Read over the club rules to get a sense for what is and isn’t allowed, and also some clues about what you might see and hear.

    2. You can look ahead at who might be there by finding the event listing on Fetlife.

    3. It’s okay to just watch others play, or even stay in the social area the whole time and don’t watch. Go at your own pace. No one will make you do anything you’re not eager to do.

    4. Manners and etiquette in the kink community can vary widely, but in general the biggest thing to remember is that consent is king, and we don’t shame anyone for what they like (unless they’re into that). You’ll be okay if you always ask before touching things or people, and don’t judge other people’s play.

    5. Keep your eyes open and observe how people are relating to each other – for example, if someone is in a thick collar, looking at the floor, and staying a step behind their partner, they might engaging in speech restriction play and not able to greet you. Try speaking to their partner instead.

Above all keep an open mind and have fun. You might discover some of the best friends you’ve ever had.
